Motion Design, for me, equates to the skills required to animate graphics and 2D elements in playful manners, using the 2D space to create striking visuals. To provide life and identity to an outlet; whether to advertise, storytell, educate or otherwise.

To me, motion design is not a singular entity. Illustration, animation, cinematography, sound and editing all work together to create movement, rhythm and meaning in ways that still images cannot.
